How can you learn German with songs?
Learning German with songs is a great way to diversify, to improve your listening skills and your understanding. Songs, movies, books, and theatres also represent (usually) in a great way the German culture.
Your brain learns even better with a melody and you will get an overall sense of the language and pronunciation.
Today I have a practical example and exercise for you to practice German with a song. It is for advanced beginners up to C1.
Prepare yourself, take about 20 minutes off, without being disturbed, take your German exercise book or any notebook and a pen.
1. Höre das Lied einmal komplett und schreibe spontan auf, welche Wörter du verstehst.
2. Sehe dir den Liedtext (lyrics) unten an und höre das Lied nochmal und lese mit.
Ordne die Liedteile und schreibe Nummern für die richtige Reihenfolge.
3. Notiere dir wichtige Wörter in deine Vokabelliste.
4. Finde heraus, was „hdgdl“ bedeutet.
5. Beschreibe in kurzen Sätzen und in eigenen Worten, um was es in dem Lied geht.
6. Ziehe Parallelen zur heutigen Gesellschaft. Was kritisiert das Lied (indirekt)?
7. Schreibe uns als Kommentar wie es dir bei dieser Aufgabe ging.
